As there is only two of us i don't plan everything but i always use a crowd calendar which gives me a rough idea of where we will be on what days then I decide which rides I really don't Want to miss and if I have a few TS booked for the hard to get restaurants but I leave some days clear for rest or seeing how we feel on the day but anything can be changed or modified so it doesn't hurt to book now otherwise i find we waste so much time trying to decide on the day

When we don’t have DDP I don’t book anything in advance. Maybe one special one if there is something we really want to do.

We don’t eat in many Disney ADR places though. Much more off site or quick service. If we do want an ADR I’ll book it on the day.

I do book fastpasses though. As there’s no harm if you want to change them but some can be hard to get last minute.

If you aren’t getting much Input then I’d make a plan of days and tell them this is what we are doing. There’s nothing worse than the family staring st each other blankly over breakfast asking what do you want to do today.

My plan is literally just which park and the first 3 fastpasses. And it often changes. But having a plan gives us a starting point.

We stay offsite and for the first time we've booked 3 character breakfasts and one lunch. Our kids are now 18 & 16 and we are having a more relaxed holiday this time.

Normally it's just planning the days and the FP's, and if we don't go to then park we don't go and then cancel the FP's

When I went with my DS he was 18 and was not interest until abut 6 weeks before we went, so at 180 days I did ADR and 60 days did fast passes (on-site) then as he got interested slowly changed some of them. When we were in our hotel room at night we were still changing for the next day!

Basically book away, change and change again, its all part of the fun

I asked my ds and he’s like, we’re not going for a year, why do we need to plan now lol.

I said it’s 10 months away not a year and I want to be prepared. Told him to do some research online and see if there’s anywhere he really wants to go

When I read this I really do realise that staying in. a Villa is defo the right thing for my family and I ! I abosolutly couldn’t think of anything worse than planning where to eat each day / night ! However I think if you are organised (not like me) it could be a great thing to do !
Our other holidays are usually all inclusive and I always make sure we do not have to book a restraunt as my family and I are so indecisive and choose to eat at the moment !
