Magic Your Way Tickets
A colleague of mine is wanting 2 day base tickets - it's their first trip and they are adamant they can do it all in 2 days
I'm a bit lost on this as we always get ultimates so does anyone know any uk sellers and can you get real tickets or are they usually vouchers.

We only got vouchers and had to swap them but can't remember who we booked through. Do they realise that the Base 2 day doesn't allow park hopping and in effect they'll only be able to go to 2 of the 4 main parks?

Yep, they know I go pretty much every year so I've explained park hopping etc. They have asked me for the lowdown and help (which I have happily given them - any excuse to talk Disney!) but actually just think they know better despite never having been before

We have ordered 2 day myw tickets from Orlando Attractions.com, and will receive real tickets once we make our final payment - we have ordered universal and seaw from them too for 14 days, so are paying off in instalments.

Wow, 2 day base tickets are around £180 per adult.
Or you can get Ultimates - 14 days unlimited use, park hopping, water parks, mini golf & free memory maker for around £288 per adult. I think I know which i'd go for.

You can get them from undercovertourist.com $217.76 roughly £178.50. You have a choice of an E-ticket, or a real ticket mailed to you.
Direct from the US Disney site $211.94 roughly £174. Slightly cheaper but I think It's a voucher ticket which they send by email. Link below. disneyworld.disney.go/en_US/tickets/ They really should think about getting the hopper tickets at the very least, otherwise they can only do two parks. If they won't listen to you direct them to this site Edited at 04:13 PM. |

You can get 2 day base tickets from OrlandoAttractions.com here:
orlandoattractions/t...ay-base-ticket You can also get them from UndercoverTourist.com or from Disney's US website (Disney will only send out a voucher email though - they will have to exchange the voucher for real tickets at the gate). Do they know that with a 2 day base ticket they will only be able to visit 2 of the 4 main Disney parks and none of the waterparks? So, no matter how hard they try, they won't be able to "do it all". I agree that the 14 day Ultimates are currently great value for money. However, if someone only wants to spend 2 days at Disney then I wouldn't recommend spending an extra £100 per person on another 12 days they wouldn't use. Mind you, in this case, the OP's colleagues may wish they had the 14 day tickets when they get there.

Absolutely agree!
But as you will be aware - for someone who wants to "do it all", as in the OP colleagues case, 2 days isn't going to cut it. Without park hopping, you won't even be able to see half of it in that time. I think they are completely underestimating WDW. It almost seems as though they think "Disney" is 1 or 2 parks only, however this can't be the case as OP has explained everything to them.

As they are first timers, perhaps they think it's like Paris? Or do they only want to do just a few parks? I wonder what else they plan on doing?

I completely agree.
When we first went back in Dec 1997, Animal Kingdom didn't exist yet and it was too cold for the waterparks. We spent 5 days at the 3 Disney parks and still didn't manage to "do it all". Unless they were pushed for time (eg. only on holiday for a week) then I'd recommend first timers spend at least 6 days at Disney.
