Independence Day at Disney?
We are looking at going next July as soon as my daughter's Prom is done and dusted. Basically, that means we can go anytime after 1st July.
Our plan is to do a week onsite (Disney) and a week in a Timeshare resort (if we can afford the time off and money then we may stretch a couple of extra days in there). That was all good but then I realsied that this would mean that we woudl be at Disney on Independence Day - which is probably not a good idea. Anyone any experience of this? The 4th of July is a Thursday next year. Is this likely to make the Friday, Saturday and Sunday busier than a normal early July Friday, Saturday and Sunday i.e. are Americans likely to book "vacation" for the Friday to make a long weekend of it? Thanks

Been there once for it and it was extremely busy for about 4 days - just before and just after. Still enjoyed and the fireworks were amazing, but be prepared for long queues.

We’ve been twice during Independence Day and loved it, yes it’s busy but the atmosphere was fabulous..As were the fireworks, both at Epcot and Magic Kingdom.
