Epcot without FP
Is it possible to "do" Epcot without FP? It's just the two of us going and we thought we'd rather do FOP and Slinky Dog twice (we're only in Florida for a week) but now not sure if we've made a wrong decision now FP day has been and gone! I feel a bit like we might be wasting two days' worth of FP on HS - is Slinky doable without a FP and without a massive queue? We'll probably do Epcot rope drop/evening EMH/morning EMH but just looking for a bit of advice before it's too late to change it! Thanks!

test track can be a long wait without a FP, not sure if the frozen attraction would need a FP still as not been there since that opened. Otherwise you should be fine.

The reality is if you are staying off site you would struggle to get FP for the really popular rides anyway as they go at 60 days. Test track I would suggest the single
Rider queue if you are not bothered about sitting together? If you download the app on your phone and keep an eye on your Wait times you can easily move around according to the crowds. I found Test Track Could go from a 35min wait to 120 min wait throughout the day so worth keeping an eye |

Epcot is the one park where no rides, no fast passes, results in a really rewarding day for two adults without children. This park offers so much more tham rides.

This is what we have planned as we also only have a week. We’ll do Epcot morning EMH and rope drop Soarin’, single rider Test Track and queue for Spaceship Earth and Mission Space which we hope are not too busy. We’re not overly bothered about Frozen or any of the other rides. We do have the advantage of staying at Boardwalk so have the chance of potentially picking up Epcot FP later in the day once we’ve used our initial 3 elsewhere so we may decide to do that.

Yes you can, we did it last year in August, but you should do it in the morning and be at rope drop very early. Test track, soarin and frozen plus lots more. Have fun

Are visiting other parks the day you're going to Epcot? If not, then you can book FP for your Epcot day.
If you are visiting another park that day then you can still really enjoy Epcot. The only 3 rides you need to FP there are Soarin, Test Track and Frozen. Mission Space tends to be ok queue wise, I havr generally found, and the World Showcase is super for adult touring and no FP required.

Thanks everyone - I think I'm going to leave things as they are! Planning on doing Future World at rope drop one morning, heading over to HS in the afternoon then possibly heading back over to Epcot to do World Showcase in the evening and EMH, and then maybe doing morning EMH another day. I've booked 3 days of FP for MK, 3 for AK (managed to get FOP on all of them) and 2 for HS and since we're only there 8 nights we've not got any spare days!

Fastpasses for all the rides at Epcot are available 30 days beforehand. Many are available just the day beforehand.
If you look at the Fastpass+ Availability page here on the DIBB, it shows that fastpasses for later today are available for every ride at Epcot except Mission Space. Yes, of course it is. It's possible to do *any* park without fastpasses. It just means you'll have to queue for longer, that's all. So, for example, the current average wait time for Soarin' is 35 minutes, for Frozen it is 45 minutes and for Test Track it's 80 minutes (the rest are 20 minutes or less). I would therefore recommend heading to Test Track at rope drop or at the very end of the day when the wait time is closer to 30 minutes. Or skip Test Track and just do the rest (eg. the wait time for Frozen at rope drop is only 15 minutes).

Short answer yes. Test Track, Soarin' and Frozen are the only rides where FP is useful. But you can only book one of the three as a FP anyway. Either look to do the Future World rides early morning, or late in the day for the shortest queues.
I know we've been lots of times, so we're not desperate to do all the rides and shows in EPCOT on each visit. But we've got two days 'planned' for EPCOT this year and on those days we've only got one FP booked for each day. Test Track one day and Soarin' on the second. We haven't bothered with anything else as the wait times should enable us to just go with the flow.
