Slinky Dog. What's the big deal?

Are the stupidly long lines at Slinky Dog just because its new? Or is it a genuinely good ride? Looks a bit tame to me from the videos I've seen but maybe I'm missing something?

It’s a great family coaster - it’s better than the videos make out. I would queue 45 minutes but no longer.

We found it very average. 30 mins max queue for me. Pictures that come off it are really poor too, sort of blurred when compared to Mine Train.

I think as it’s in toy story land and possibly directed at younger children it is possibly tame. I hope so, my four year old grandson needs something tamer and slower to go on

Thanks everyone. Probably won't waste our time queueing for it then.

It's aimed at kids or families with kids, if you want a thrill ride there's other options available.

Exactly. If you want to sit in front of a TV with 3d glasses go to Universal

This is a great coaster for families! But I do agree the photos are rubbish

I'm aware other options are available and, having had some helpful comments from members of The Dibb, I will use my time to queue for those rides rather than queue for this one.

As this ride is new since we last visited I wanted to know what the fuss was about (and by fuss I mean long queues).

Edit: Having said that DD will probably insist on queuing for it anyway - she made me queue for Dumbo last year at DLP and she was 14! Still, being the softy that I am, I queued for 40 minutes with her to ride it.

Haven't been to Universal since about 2001. There were a couple of decent rides in IoA but I found nothing at US that would entice me back.

I believe that it has been updated since then though.

We are big fans of the rides at BG but we love Disney so always spend plenty of time at those parks. I'm sure if DD was still very young then Slinky Dog would be worth queuing for but probably not now.

Thanks again to all of the helpful responders
