Mobile Kings Landing Canoeing

Hi All

Just wondered if anyone has done the canoeing at Wekiva Island. We are considering it but just wondering if the 4 hr paddle would be too much for first timers in July heat! 😆 I think there is another option also that doesn’t involve the drop off/pick up scenario? Many thanks

Yes. We did it last July and intend to do it again this year. I wrote all the info in my trip report for that day but if after reading that there’s anything else you think I can help with feel free to ask me

Thanks very much Helen, I actually remember your post from last year and it was yourself that had given us the idea for it! Your pictures are fab and looks amazing but we not the fittest folks just wondering if the 4 hours would be too much for those never on a canoe before lol

I had never been on a canoe and I promise I am pretty unfit. I can walk plenty, but I have no stamina or strength in my upper arms or upper body. I think as long as you start early, so can go at a comfortable pace, it’s really not that labouring.
