I don't believe you'll go far wrong if you eat in McCoys in the Hyatt itself.

Getting Excited

We have stayed at the Hyatt twice before at the start of our holiday. Its a great way to relax after the flight and just take a breathe before you hit the car rental- much quieter too the nxt morning. We like to eat in the hotel , think we've done Mc Coys and then also bar snack at the bar overlooking the airport interior. Both were fine and not silly prices.Starting this years trip with a night at the Hyatt so hubby can enjoy a wine or two on the plane . Great idea.

Thanks for the link to restaurants i know they are categorised by gates but i would love a nice last meal at the airport before we fly home does it matter if the restaurant doesn't end up being near a gate you use? I presume we won't know the gate until the day? We are flying with Virgin

Or the main terminal might be best can you get there before you go through security? If doing that how long would you advise time wise you should arrive?

merkat - if flying direct back to the UK you'll be using Gates 70-99. There's a Bahama Breeze after security that I hear is quite nice (I've never been!) and would be quite nice as a last meal.

Food court is in the middle of the main terminal before you do security - you really can't miss it
In the main terminal there are two sit down restaurants and if you want to use one of these I would be at the airport about 3.5hrs before flight. If you want the food court restaurants about 3hrs should be sufficient. Once you clear security there isn't a lot to do so as long as you are heading through about 2 hrs before your flight you'll be fine. Security takes about 30 mins at MCO most days |
