Boys school trousers- fastening

Good Morning,

For those of you who have boys, has anyone managed to buy trousers that have a button for the fastening? DS15 really doesn’t like the clip style fastening and all the usual places - Next/M&S/Sainsbury’s/Asda only seem to sell those ones.
😖

The only ones I can find online are at Asda and they are out of stock across all age groups.😏 Which shows there is a high demand for that style. Maybe it will mean they will increase production in that style for future years.

So.. I’ve had no luck in Tesco. I’ve been to Next and bought some with a press stud but again it was a no.

But I think I’ve found a solution. My cousin’s wife owns a sewing shop and she thinks that if i find a pair with a zip, she should be able to change the clip fastening for a button. So I’ve ordered a pair of trousers with a clip that are exactly the same as the ones with a button that are out of stock and I’m keeping my fingers crossed a button can be added.🤞🏻🤞🏻

Otherwise I don’t know what I’ll do. 🤷🏼 Guess he’ll have to go naked or in a pair of trousers with a clip fastening!

I have the same problem with ds this year I've gone for mens trousers instead of school uniform ones.
More expensive but a better fit in the leg length and they have the button fastening he prefers he just might need a belt as he's kinda skinny

Was also considering this option. Where did you get them from? DS likes his trousers as skinny as he can get away with.

I've ordered him a pair from M&S as its been the only place I've found any small enough in stock online so far as not been able to get out to look.
They actually started at a 26 inch waist which is pretty rare and have 3 inside leg length options.
They haven't come yet so can't comment on quality/fit
