Bensons for beds

Looking at new beds for DD and DS, so 2 x ottoman doubles - is there a good time for their offers or are the pretty much same all the time?

I'm pretty sure they're the DFS of beds, the sale never seems to end!

Just be aware they currently seem to have a 6 week+ delay in delivery - they do not tell you that before you place your order - and if that is unacceptable, trying to get hold of them to cancel the order is "an interesting journey".

if you are not set on Bensons for beds would personally suggest trying elsewhere

Thanks for the heads up on delivery. We have Dreams too, but Bensons had mattress DS wanted, i will check out delivery times first! Wasnt too fussed on Dreams selections. Suppose its back to drawing board!

not sure where you are based , but this company is local to use and has website. They do standard beds , but they will also let you select different mattresses for different bases. Also if you have a tight space they will even make beds & mattresses to size. bedfactorydirect

I bought my son's bed from Bensons... and never again.

When he tried the mattress in store, it was a 'medium'... but the one that was delivered was hard, and they flat out refused to exchange it. They said it was our fault for not checking that a small double only comes with a hard mattress.

Apart from that, the quality of the divan base is absolute rubbish. The mattress itself cannot be turned, so it is basically a half mattress on top of god knows what.

I had horrendous trouble with delivery. They’d arrange a slot and not turn up. That happened three times, and meant us needlessly taking time off work! Customer service really weren’t at all bothered. I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole now. It took almost double the time they initially promised in store for me to actually receive the delivery. Never again.

Not quite sure where you're based or what you are willing to spend but when I was in London we bought beds from Warren Evans and have nothing bad to say about them. When we moved up north I bought a bed from Oak Furniture Land when it was on sale and been pleased with them too.

Poor reviews is a little concerning. We have paid over £2k for bed, headboard & mattress from bensons.

I think i might take a look to see if i can get the mattress elsewhere, he seemed to like that particular one.
