1 night trip to Anaheim

Hi all.

For our first anniversary we are off to Vegas for 12 nights. We have done Vegas alot (12 trips) but never ventured to Anaheim. We are going to leave Vegas at 6am ish and I believe it's about a 4.20 hr drive?

We are staying at the Marriott suites Anaheim. Got it for 59 pounds. Thoughts?

We have a 2 day Disney hopper pass for 110 each. Is that the going rate?

We are planning to leave Anaheim at 7/8 pm to drive back to Vegas.

Any major flaws in our plan? Any must do/see's whilst there?

Also any great places to eat close to Disney? Mid price?

Cheers guys

lots of places outside disney to eat. a few nice ones like california pizza kitchen and cheesecake factory at gardenwalk.

Lots of must do's cars land open not long ago and that is a whole section you won't find elsewhere. Other unique rides such as the Matterhorn, california screaming and grizzy river run to name a few. I'd also try and catch world of colour if it's showing on the night you are there.

I'm a little sad you're only managing two days, and not full days at that. I'd have struggled to get everything done in that time but it will depend how busy the parks are I guess.

Are you having a car while you are in Vegas anyway or just hiring it to go to Anaheim? Why not fly?

I agree

Everytime we go to Vegas i toy with the idea of going to LA or Disneyland, but its just so far to drive for at most 1.5 days , i'm sure we'd get there, not get to do everything and feel cheated that we've spent a fair bit and not got our money's worth.

I've decided we're just going to have to go at some point and have a full week in LA doing the parks/beaches etc

It's a bit of a spur of the moment thing. We are saving on our spends those 2 days (if we're not in Vegas we don't need money for gambling lol) so we have paid for this jount out of our savings from that.

We had a car for the whole 12 days so thought we would drive.

One last thing, we are gonna have 300 per day for 2 of us is that an ok budget for food and drink? Maybe a souvenir or 2 aswell

Presuming your not eating really high end (there are plenty of places where a meal for 2 can easily cost $200), then you will have more than enough.

I budget $300 a day for the 4 of us and that covers food, shopping and attractions.
