The Big Apple and a Big Ship! - Day 9 - San Juan, Puerto Rico

August 8, 2017 - San Juan, Puerto Rico

Ship docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico at 7.30, before I woke up. I did wake up T about 8.30 and caught up online whilst Harriet slept before showering and going for breakfast.
Back from breakfast but Harriet still asleep (she did get in at 3!) so I got changed and disembarked alone to explore the shops.
Lots of shops selling the same tacky souvenirs, shirts etc, no bikinis. Did stock up in CVS on shampoo, make up and sweets!
Went to the fort built to defend San Juan from the British and phoned home, used my mobile phone US package again!

Saw a snake skin and then an iguana the size of our cat Daphne, it disappeared back down its hole in the walls before I could get a photo.

Back to the ship after a couple of hours and got a sandwich and a cocktail and found a seat by the pool for sailway. Carnival Magic had joined us and Celebrity Equinox sailed in as we departed at 2.30.

2 more cocktails, 2 beers and the rest of my book plus a conversation with Tori a teacher from New Jersey and it then was time for some shade and a shower.

Back to the cabin at about 5, Harriet appeared and changed for the pool with Shannon, neither of them going to dinner in the MDR, I finished getting ready and went to watch Mo5iac in the royal theatre, a 5 piece vocal group with 'no instruments ever!' Good show and they are very talented, been on Americas got Talent and are Las Vegas based.

Finished at 7.15 so went to the Windjammer buffet for a cheese appetizer but ended up with mussels, prawns and scallops with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Dinner at 8.15 in Chic again.
Dinner was just me and the 2 teachers! After dinner came back to cabin and watched TV and read!
