They fly from the North Terminal. I highly recommend the Premier Inn directly opposite the terminal. Can't fault it - very reasonably priced, great location and great food.

VS used to fly from south until about 2 years ago and they swapped with BA who now fly from south

Don't book your hotel on where you fly from though as the terminals are connected by a free two minute monorail ride. We've stayed south and flown from north and vice versa many times.

If you shop at Tesco you can use Deals on a £3/£1 exchange for B&B at the Hilton on south but you pay equivalent of top rack rate. Best for us if paying "real" money is the Premier Inn just over the road from the north.

What sort of budget do you have or what hotel type do you like. There are those that are attached to the airport, some nearby and some further away. Location and ease of access will affect the price you pay.

Another vote for the PI. although it was better value when it used to include the parking package.
