Mobile Eating healthy to avoid excessive weight

Due to ill health I have gained a lot of weight and 3 weeks ago I joined slimming world. This plan seems to be working for me and I am hoping to have lost 3 and a half stone by October. I don't want to be a kill joy and aim to eat a table service meal each evening but want to eat a healthy breakfast healthy lunch and healthy snacks. Any tips would be great. We are staying on Disney and my hubby and daughters are all skinny so only me having to keep an eye on things. I am thinking of fruit for breakfast salad or sandwich for lunch and carrots sticks , frozen banana etc for snacks.

i feel the same due to health issues and tend to stick to meat and veg or salad and stay away from fries and breads at every meal. Don't get me wrong i do indulge but it has to be worth it. I find that with doing that and all the walking that i end up putting a couple of pounds on which goes within 2 weeks of being back

i'm sure you won't, a lot of people find the same thing. A lot of the gain is actually water because of the increased level of salt in the food. If you're having a salad, get the dressing on the side and dip your fork in the dressing then into the salad.

Stay away from carbs and if you eat fruit for breakfast, salad for lunch (no dressing) and then enjoy your evening meal i'm sure you'll be fine. With all the walking etc. you may even lose lol. good luck.

While the high calories options are readily available there are healthier choices if you do a little research they just tend to be very similar. You will find things like fruit/veg pots/salads/yogarts some qs locations do things like grilled salmon or chicken portions - Columbia Harbour House Mk has some good choices for example

Even with your table service meals you can get sauces on the side, swap sides and get fruit for dessert to help keep the calories in check if you want so you can use your daily syns for the treats you really fancy

You will also do a huge amount of walking which helps

We have breakfast at the villa and avoid big cooked breakfasts. As we are not hungry when hot, we snack for lunch and drink lots of water, then have an early dinner. I get fed up with fries so go for salad and occasionally mash. All the walking helps! Hope you are feeling better and well done 😊

Only way to prevent weight increase is to ensure you calorie intake is not more than your calorie burn.
If like most people you are doing a lot of walking your calorie burn should be pretty high.
Do you have any idea how many steps you will be doing a day? So long as it is at least 10000 steps you should still be able to eat well if you are sensible.

One good thing about USA is most of the restaurants state calories on their menus and you can even go a step further and track everything you eat through MyFitnessPal app.

If you give me a rough idea of what you think your average steps per day would be and what you weight is in pounds I can give you a guide on what you calorie intake should be to maintain your current weight.
