1 or 2 days at Universal?

We are planning a visit to Universal in July 2016. With the new Harry Potter area scheduled to open in the spring presumably it will be busier than normal next summer. Just wondering whether we will be able to get everything done in one day or whether it might be better to spread it over the two days (especially seeing at Attraction Tickets direct seem to do a 2nd day free ticket)? Presumably a 2 night stay at the Hilton at Universal City would be better use of our time, rather than travelling from Hollywood.

Its really not far from Hollywood.. but Hollywood isn't that nice so I would rather stay at Universal City and make use of city walk at night.

I would also stay at universal city, we stayed in the Hilton this year, it was lovey being able to walk to universal studios during the day and city walk in the evening 😀
