Best buffet - your thoughts pls.
I like all types of cuisine so happy to eat at any of the buffets. On free half board dining plan. Could I have people’s opinions on any buffets tried please. Thank you. 🍴

If you have the standard meal plan (free with Cheyenne, Santa Fe or Davy Crockett), then I would recommend La Grange at Billy Bobs in the village. It’s tex mex and has nice food and good service. That’s my go to buffet. If you are staying at other hotels then you will have more options, as you can eat in the hotel buffets.

Best buffet? Inventions. Its the most expensive buffet though so unless you are on premium dining plan you will need to 'add to' your dinner voucher. The food selection is very good and there are about 6 characters that will circulate. Tigger and Donald (i find) as the best 'value' (I'm talking about interaction at the table), although Minnie was great as well last time.
Best buffet for standard meal plan (for us) is Agrabah. We like the food style and love the theming. Best buffet for plus is hard to say as there isn't a dedicated plus buffet. I would 'put to' inventions if i was on plus and wanted a buffet. We did stop at the HNY (before it closed) and the parkside diner was very good, im guessing the Marvel hotel will retain the same diner. We normally find going back to the hotel a bit far so would prefer to save the voucher and eat cheaply. Edited at 08:50 AM. |

Our favourite meal was definitely La Grange. We loved the tex mex meal and great atmosphere in the restaurant. We weren’t that keen on Hunters Grill in Sequoia Lodge which is a plus buffet. It was incredibly busy and we didn’t feel the choices suited us. If you have standard plan you also lose the included drink if you use your standard credit as a plus restaurant.

I may have misunderstood what we get on the plus dining plan. Understood it to be €37 per day per person. The buffets I have looked at are mainly approx €35 so thought we could go to any of them.

Billy bobs is our family favourite. Every trip we visit sometimes twice. Good choice for kids. They love the chicken nuggets and fajitas. I like the chilli and nachos. Hunters grill was also quite nice too and Cape cod.

If you are on the half board plus plan (you are if staying at the sequoia lodge) you get the best value from your credits eating at the plus plan buffets.
These are the buffet restaurant at your own hotel, the one at the Newport bay club, and I think that’s about it (as the HNY isn’t open just now). You do have other options as set menu restaurants on the plus plan, and of course you can use your lunch/dinner credits at any of the standard plan buffets if those suit better. Edited at 04:15 PM. |
