Upcoming Centerparcs booking and cancellation
Hi,
I am due to visit centerparcs for a 1 week break on 9th October, however looking at what is now being offered we do not want to go. Scanning back over my emails I can see I will receive an email approximately 2 weeks prior to my arrival date giving me the option to cancel and receive a full refund. Happy days! My problem is that centerparcs are asking for the final payment by 15th September (so 3 1/2 weeks prior to my arrival date). Doesn’t make sense to me 🤷 So my question is for people who have recently been or cancelled a break to centerparcs - did you have to pay the final balance and then submit a form for full amount to be refunded? Thanks |

I understand the emails are now going out 4 weeks before explaining the options and offering cancellations. I don’t know whether it’s changed but yes, until recently CP were not refunding deposits; instead you had to pay the balance then they refunded in full.
Their lines are pretty busy again now due to the change in government rules Unfortunately but once you get your email then give them a call. Just to add, I wouldn’t be too hastY to cancel. We went last week and whilst it was different, we did things we otherwise wouldn’t have done normally and it was sooo nice to be somewhere out the house for a change. |

Like mrsmickey has said it's 4 weeks before now? Think there's a form to fill in to say you want to cancel rather than having to call? They are quite active on Twitter if that helps?
We went for a 4 night break at Elevden last week and had a great time? We're not big swimming pool fans so the 2 sessions were more than enough and I loved the fact it was quieter? We are looking to book again in fact!

Thanks so much both for responding and apologies for the delayed response. The email allowing me to cancel did indeed come through yesterday and we have opted to cancel. Whilst we would have loved to have a half term break we really do not enjoy wearing facemasks inside and the reduction in service (later arrival, earlier departure, removal of cleaning etc.) for the same cost would have niggled me particularly after a 5 hour drive.
