Hope you have a successful 2021 with your property and you manage a little escape too.
Google the name of the cottage, there is a good chance its advertised on more than 1 rental site

I feel the need to defend Sykes. We refunded everyone that couldn’t stay with us, but Sykes had to manage all the refunds, but not until the owners approved. It must have been a nightmare due to sheer volume.

No one was prepared for the lockdowns... give the 3 members of staff a little bit of recognition. ☺️

When we've stayed in Falmouth we've used Falmouth holiday homes, they have properties in and around Falmouth. We've not had to use their cancellation policy so not sure how well they deal with cancellations. On their website "If the Government dictates that it would be illegal to travel from your home address, or if the Governments dictates that it would be illegal for us to allow you to occupy the property that you have booked, we will be happy to transfer your holiday to alternative dates at the same property to be taken no later than 12 months after the original travel dates." It also has the same policy if you or a member of your party test positive for covid-19.

We've also stayed in a national trust property before but that was just outside of Falmouth. I'm not sure their cancellation policy is like though.

Our daughter and partner have good friends in Bodmin in Cornwall,

Three years ago they paid out more for a 1 bedroom flat/cottage in Bodmin about £800 which was more than what we were charging for our 4 bedroom villa in Florida for the same week

Bodmin is a place of contrasts...

A fabulous and £30m refurbished Historic Jail that may be high on any visitor list.
A very good Steam Railway and Station.
A very good Cornwall Light Infantry Museum.
The County Lunatic Assylum (It really was once called that).

Their Rugby Team has a very unusual celebration upon scoring a Try... They all ‘High six’ each other.

Joking aside, despite some of it being rather Socially deprived, it is a great location as a base from which to visit other places, being on the only Major Road in the County. Restaurants? Bars? That is a bit of a shortfall.

Thank you for mentioning Toad Hall Cottages, I've just had a look on the site and found a lovely place in Falmouth with parking. It looks ideal for when visiting our daughter at uni

That is a rather nice location and a slightly down hill walk to the top of High Street.

The pub called the Boathouse is nearby, great views and very good food.. (I had Pigeon last time).

Any questions on area or anything at all, just give me a shout!
