Brixham
Just booked a few nights here in April with our new dog! Any recommendations of places to see etc. We are right overlooking the harbour.

We have booked for August so following with interest.
I've heard that in terms of food Rockfish is nice. We're staying at the apartments at Quay 57 pub and that also sounds nice. |

Stayed last August in Campsite in Motorhome very near Brixham , nice walks either side of Harbour , plenty of nice places to eat , there was a lovely cake shop right by bus stop Pasty’s to die for , you must try The Chart Room First Class Coffee Lounge it’s like stepping into a Nautical Museum we visited it twice nice for Lunch and they do homemade cakes , its tucked away we nearly missed it , it's not for small children but I am sure you can take a dog in . it's also worth taking ferry from Kingswear near Brixham to Dartmouth plenty to see there . As we were staying in a Motorhome we use Bus to get everywhere like Torquay and Paignton .

We stayed in Paignton for a few days in September and visited brixham, it really is beautiful and there is so much to do in that area, I would also recommend the ferry to kingswear and visiting Dartmouth, we had a lovely day here (we went on the steam railway though) we also caught the bus to Torquay from brixham, lovely scenery and a bit of a change. Honestly all the areas around there are lovely, we had such a good time!

Walk from your apt up to Berryhead. Shorter walk would be up the breakwater. National trust Greenways and Coleton Fishacre close by, take boat over to Torquay or do round robin ( bus, boat and train). Dartmouth is lovely then on to Blackpool sands and start bay.
I stay opposite side of harbour! Love Brixham and the people. Outside claws seafood stall is great for food and also hot drinks ( almost outside your apt). Rockfish is expensive but nice, Simply fish is great we have grilled fish there which is delicious. Prince William has great outside seating. |
