Hi

I’m going to Berlin in October for the first time.

We will book an apartment rather than hotel.

Can anyone provide recommendations and/or best area to stay?

Thanks

I went last year, there were 6 of us and I booked us this apartment on airbnb. We found it a great location, near 2 different tube lines and lots to eat in walking distance. The flat was good, very clean but you have to be ok with stairs!

I'd recommend Adina ApartHotel Checkpoint Charlie. We had a lovely 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. Lidl across the road for supplies.

Have stayed in Adina Budapest too and they are great chain of consistently high standards.

I stayed there about 10 years ago and it was very nice. I didn’t want to recommend it on this thread as it had been so long but we were impressed at the time.

Holiday Inn Berlin City East Side usually has really good rates.

A short walk for Warschauer Strasse station.

Can be pricey if anybody playing Mercedes-Benz Arena though.

Kreuzberg has plenty of good value apartment rentals, in the Turkish section.

Can’t help with accommodation as we stayed in a hotel but I can highly recommend booking the free walking tour through Sandemanns. We wouldn’t have known half of what we did had it not been for our fantastic tour guide Chris
