We’ve used Gousto twice now and every dish has been a success. They seem well priced. The customer service on Hello Fresh was reportedly not so good. I had used Simply Cook for a bit, but they only include spices and I wouldn’t be able to recreate the recipes later. Gousto send a recipe card with the ingredients and I would be easy to do the dish again with your own ingredients. We tend to have a four meal box fortnightly. However next week we are trying Mindful Chef. Our daughter recommended it (and she gets a discount if we use it!). It’s more expensive but has an interesting range of dishes and ingredients, so we will see.

I do a mixture of both but favour Gousto by far. I only tend to use Hello Fresh if they send me a discount code.
I would say I'm probably 80/20 to Gousto if not more. I find there is more choice and less waste with Gousto and the recipe cards and easier to follow and easier to replicate if you fancy a week off. The website and app are more user friendly and it is easier to cancel and restart with them if you wish. |

I have tried Hello Fresh, Gousto and Simply Cook, the latter just includes the spices.
I prefer Gousto to Hello Fresh, I found Hello Fresh recipes a bit too much effort especially mid week and I preferred the recipe choice of Gousto. However I find both a bit too expensive to do regularly. Simply Cook is the one we do most often, the meals are effortless, usually taking no more than twenty minutes and coming out very tasty. Last night I made teriyaki aubergine donburi. The three pots include a stock to cook the rice in, a teriyaki sauce for the aubergine and some dry spices to cook baby sweet corn and mangetout in. |

Last night I did Simply Cook’s Wild Mushroom penne. Delicious and easy, took as long as it takes to cook pasta (if you are using dry pasta that is).

We have both and we prefer hello fresh. The receipts are more exciting, ingredients are good quality and portions are huge. We are mixing it up between them and gusto to keep things fresh

We have our first order of a food box coming this week. Hello Fresh, it was 50% the first week so we ordered 4 meals.
Just hoping it’s good and adds a bit of variety to our dinners.

We had this tonight. The portions were enormous (for 2 but would easily have served 3)! Liked it but did require a LOT of washing up.
