I’m in Derbyshire and we had a massive bang which has been confirmed as a sonic boom cause by the RAF jets travelling at super sonic speed to escort the plane in.. scary.

In Essex not too far from Stansted and didn’t hear a thing! Second incident in a week and didn’t hear the sonic booms!

Our youngest daughter and granddaughter live in Essex and certainly heard the sonic boom a few days ago when the jets escorted the plane back to Stansted with that stupid woman on board.

I missed that one! Don't know how. We are about 10 miles South of the airport.

Why do they send jets up to escort the planes back? I've never understood that? What can a jet do if a plane is in trouble? 🤔 Anyone know?

Aggressive drunks on stag and hen trips or absolutely anyone threatening the safety of passengers and the plane - not just arrested for that single crime but banned for life from flying with any airline.

But I'm a bit old fashioned in my views. How many of these thugs who go out with a 12" blade would think twice if the consequences were that they'd be swinging from a rope. Rant over. Yes I know I live in the dark ages.

I didn't hear anything either I'm in Harlow, but heard the sonic boom last week which made my curtain puff inwards, it sent FB into meltdown
