bit late to the party on this binged on it last nigth but love Shane Meadows work & this is equally harrowing & quite brilliant
Stephen Graham is a phenomenal actor, its easy to say he just plays psychos but what a talent the scene in the pub where he falls off the wagon is brilliant fwiw its quite disturbing so may not be everyones cup of tea/evenings entertainment.. |

It was good even if not much happened, but then again anything with Stephen Graham in usually is.
I think it was based on some real experiences- very scary some of these children's homes back in the 1970's.

based on Shane Meadows past ( as was certain elements of this is england) not in a childrens home but a similar case
all triggered when his dad who discovered the body of Susan Maxwell was wrongly arrested for her murder & Shane was set off to stay with an Aunt triggering a chain of events .. awful... |
