Haddock supper £8.90 where I used to live (Aberdeen), in South Lanarkshire where we moved to £6.05!
The lower price is great, but I had no idea about the regional variation. I can't get my two chippy staples down here- a macaroni pie supper and a white pudding supper! |

I was surprised about the macaroni but then given a lot of the chippies here have Italian origins they maybe refuse to do that to pasta 😂
When we lived in Shawlands Salt & Vinegar had started to do a white pudding but haven't seen anywhere else. My husband tried to get them at our new local butcher and was laughed out the shop! |

The chippy we occasionally use in Fareham, Hampshire:
Large Fish & Chips - £12.88 Small Fish & Chips - £10.88 Chips - £2.99 Gravy,Curry Sauce, Peas - £1.89 Jumbo Sausage -£2.69 My brother in law nearly hard heart failure when he saw these prices! My family live on The Wirral and the place they use is a lot cheaper and you get much bigger portions! He’ll not offer to pay again when he comes to visit 🤣🤣🤣 Vicki x |
