Solo safari anyone?

Has anyone done a full on safari? Solo?

I have. I went to South Africa on my way home from 7 years in Australia.
I planned it all out myself, I flew into Johannesburg and had a night there, and I did the hop on hop off bus to see Soweto, the apartheid museum etc, and then I was picked up the following morning and driven to Kruger. I stayed at Thornhill safari lodge and they created an itinerary for my stay that included several game drives, sunrise, sunset and to different areas and other activities.
The food was all included but drinks were payable. I then got taken back to Johannesburg airport, I flew to Cape Town, and spent some time exploring there and visiting wineries.
I wasn’t in a great place at the time, but I still had the most incredible trip
