Marcel the shell with shoes on / A24 movies

new A24 flick with jenny slate. will be watching it tonight!

if you've not come across A24 yet, they do some GREAT movies. they've not chucked out any duds so far, and if i see they are putting a new movie out, chances are i will watch it just based on their previous movies. its not always easy going (red rocket and anything involving the safdie brothers) but the quality of the movie will be fantastic!

you ALL need to watch this. It's absolutely stunning. The warmest, funniest, saddest movie this year. Truly a masterpiece. If you aren't crying happysad for the entire duration you have no soul!

Don't read anything about it if you can, just go in blind and trust me.

Totally small kid friendly too!

It just cements a24 as a studio to watch everything they put out. They are also responsible for everything everywhere all at once!

I saw a trailer for this earlier in the week, on Youtube I think.

I thought it looked really sweet. Is it available on any streaming services, do you know?

Looks like it's getting a cinema release over here on Friday!

So it's probably not available on streaming, but if you have a US VPN you can get it from most American streamers

I can't wait for other people to enjoy this as much as I did, it's such a lovely little movie!

It’s a good 1.5 hours drive to my local cinema so I might need to try the VPN route. I’ll have a look and see if I can find it.

Thank you 😊

Just back from seeing this. A beautifully gentle film that I very much enjoyed.

I just got home and I’m still emotional! I wanted to apologise to the people in the cinema who had to listen to my chest heaving sobs 😭 I feel so silly for crying over a shell with shoes and one googly eye but my goodness 🥺
