Don't blame you TBH. The amount I have to send back to copywriters as incorrect is downright disturbing considering it's their job. Although I think technically in this case it's fine since it should be read as subjunctive mood, even though it doesn't look correct using standard tense rules.

It’s correct. If it had read ‘was’ then that would be incorrect.

Really? Surely "What if she was the first avenger" is correct? Whereas "What if she were the first avenger" sounds wrong.

Don't worry about it, English really makes no sense as a language when you start getting into exceptions.

Well, I’ve watched the first episode. It was enjoyable and entertaining. Although obviously it doesn’t take part in the regular MCU universe. Not sure about the style of the computer animation and some of the mouth movements looked weird. I think I would’ve prefer old school hand animation.

Still it was great to see Peggy as Captain Carter (I wished they’d gone with Captain Britain).
