How old is your baby? The bugaboo will be a nightmare for the buses and trams. A one price stroller would be much better. I've been twice in recent years with my maclaren xt techno and it has been so easy to use and reliable. Just one kick and its up. It has all the accessories and can lie flat. My boys were just under two on both occasions. It has been to Disney twice, Greece twice and Spain once and never so much much picked up a scratch going through baggage as it's quite a robust buggy. Won't need it next time I go 😪 As my boys will be too old

I brought a new stroller from mamas and papas for our then 10 month old son, it was great but for this year I'm actually going to take his pram ( mamas and papas sola) he will be 2 and half when we travel but it is much more comfy, great sun protection hood large under storage and he will have naps as it lies flat, I'm a bit worried it may get damaged on the flight but it's a risk I'm going to take, we won't be using Disney transportation as we have a car and hate waiting for buses at the best of times, go with what you think is best for you and your little one, 😀

We've got a Quinny buzz travel system but it's just too big and cumbersome to take with us, plus I wanted one with a better sun hood and storage so we bought a Joie litetrax, which is very similar to a baby jogger (same designer) in design and operation but not as expensive and made with cheaper materials I would imagine haha, but it was awesome. Reclines flat for naps easily, great big hood with good ventilation, good storage and extra pouch on the back and you can fold it one handed which was helpful. It's probably heavier than some of the more lightweight ones but we found it great. We don't use a pram at home much as my daughter is 19m now but we haven't used the Quinny since getting the Joie as we just find it easier and it accommodates a bigger child better I think.
So I'd personally invest in a cheaper stroller with all the things you need for an Orlando trip and it will probably come in handy at home.

I got a second hand (well pretty much brand new) Phil and teds off eBay to take with us. One handed fold for the buses, DS loves it as it has a long seat and really big sun canopy

Worked out cheaper than hiring one for two weeks

Just plan on locking the wheel to the frame when on rides so it can still be moved about by cm's but would be a pain to steal

I did originally have a mamas&papas travel pushchair that went with us on 2014, omg that was pain to push never again

We were really unlucky in October last year; we bought a cheap £60 puschair to take with us for our youngest incase he got tired, and it was stolen at the luggage collection point. We were some of the last off the plane and when we picked up our luggage we found the plastic bag it had been stored in ripped open and thrown to the side of where the other buggies were; with our name tag still in it. We asked the Virgin Atlantic crew what to do and they were at a loss. We didn't want to waste any precious time on our holiday so chalked it up to just one of those things, and the next day headed off to Walmart and purchased a further two strollers incase our eldest wanted to rest in the evenings. They were only $30 each. We were fine for about three days, and then on the fourth day, in MK in the storybook circus area, we put them both in the stroller parking by Dumbo to ride it, and when we came out, it was gone. We saw a Brazillian couple with a tiny baby, I mean about 6 months old, strapping their screaming child into exactly the same pushchair (which was quite a distinctive one as it was shaped like a Hippo!) at the Casey Jr Splash Station but didn't want to accuse as who's to say they didn't buy the same one? We reported it to the cast member who spent twenty minutes looking and advised it definitely wasn't there and to report to customer services to see if it was abandoned later in the day and we could collect it, but that it was quite common for them to be taken We went back to our resort and asked if they maybe had any in reception that had been left but they didn't; they said they no longer loaned them out as Brazillian groups tended to ask for them, and then take them home to sell! We were surprised as everywhere online says that it's very unlikely your buggy will end up stolen and usually it's just the CM moving them around etc, but the CM at POFQ said it was sadly very common and that's why they sold them in the gift shop, so we had to buy yet another one!

Sorry for how long winded that was, but my advice would really be to leave your expensive pushchairs at home! I wouldn't ever risk bringing a decent one because of what happened to us.

I know, I couldn't believe how unlucky we were! I suppose it all comes down to people not adequately preparing for their holiday and considering their childs' needs; but you would think with all the options of being able to hire puschairs out there that there is no need to resort to taking somebody elses! It didn't matter so much as they were only cheap, but when we return we will be taking an 11 month old and now we are really wondering what to do regarding puschairs as really couldn't afford to be without one this time!

What I did was lock the front wheel to the frame. It allowed CMs to still move it tilting it on its back wheels but it couldn't be pushed around. I also made laminated stroller signs and placed them on the buggy with cable ties. If they were going to steal a pushchair mine therefore wouldn't have been the easiest to take.

We took our bugaboo bee and it didn't get taken or damaged on the flight. It does fold in one piece unlike the chameleon but it was bulky on the trams from the car parks. Fortunately we had a high adult to child ratio! Carrying my toddler and the bags to fold the buggy by myself would not have been fun. I was very glad of its comfortable seat for my daughter. She was almost 2 when we went. It was also great that I could turn the seat to face me easily. When she was tired or it was very busy this was perfect because the crowds upset her a bit when she was tired so she could face us and have a snooze.

I know you say you have a car and don't plan using Disney transport, but have you thought about the trams... some of the car parks are so large you might need to get on a tram in places like the Magic Kingdom.
