Much appreciated advice needed NYC hotels, transfers etc...

Hello Dibbers,

Myself and a Friend are going to NYC for our 30th birthdays. We have both never been to NYC only Florida, we have booked flights with Virgin already but need to find a nice hotel within the area of Times Square, can anyone recommend any please?

Also, transfers to and from JFK, can any one recommend?

Thank you
L x

We stayed at the Distrikt Hotel on our last visit and loved it, it was the best hotel we have stayed in while visiting NY, we also used Supershuttle to take us up and pick us up from our hotel.
You can book your transport with them on line, its so simple.

We stayed at the Iroquois Hotel which was lovely and only a block from Times Square. Also not far from ESB and Rockefeller. We just hopped into a yellow taxi from the Airport - was super easy, they have people directing you - it is a flat rate of $52 plus tip and tolls so we paid approx $70. The hotel has free guided walks twice a week and they use Molton Brown bathroom products! 😊

The Sheraton Times Square. 2 minutes from Times Square, 5 minutes the other way gets you to Central Park. Fantastic location.
We just hopped into a yellow cab, so easy. It's a set fee, then you pay tolls and a tip, we just gave the driver $70 and it covered everything. You just come out of the airport and they are waiting there for you.
You will have an amazing time there.
Happy Planning.

another vote for yellow cab . so much easier than a shuttle imho, its a fixed price no matter what the traffic is like

Thank you for all your reply, I'm going to have a look at all the hotels that have been suggested, using a cab seems like the easier option, thank you 😀
