Anyone know why Magic Kingdom is closing at 6pm on 15th August? It doesn't seem to be MNSSHP.

Well the MNSSHP dates are not up yet, I would say it is almost certainly due to MNSSHP.

As Claudette says, the current view is that it is due to MNSSHP.

We won't know for certain until Disney officially releases the dates, but that's probably what it'll be.

It's a bit early for MNSSHP. imo. Could be for a private party.

I've been hoping it's a MNSSHP. Like the previous posters have said WDW haven't announced the party dates yet. I had a look at a few ticket websites yesterday and they are selling tickets for Thursday 13th August and onwards, but not Saturday 15th. I'm going to wait until Disney makes an announcement as none of us know for sure what it is.

The first MNSSHP was on 16th August last year, so I don’t think it is too early for Disney. You are right it could also be a private event though.

I've read others speculating it's a private event, but it is just speculation. We all need to try and be patient and wait for wdw to announce the party dates.

I came across a reply to speculated dates on blog Mickey the other week. Someone had posted that MK was being rented out by Snap on Tools for their 100th anniversary event on 15th Aug. We can only do 13th if 15th isn’t available. Fingers crossed the first night isn’t as manic as some predict.
