It's too cramped.
A friend is a Virgin 747 pilot and he doesn't like his night flights home since the config change as the upstairs cabin is so tight for space, he feels he can't stretch his legs for fear of banging into passengers, or tripping over their limbs. |

We liked the Bubble last time we flew. We were in Premium though but I thought economy didn't look as cramped as downstairs althlough that's probably an opitcal illusion 😂
We're considering paying for Bubble seats again this year |

We were in the back row of economy in the upper deck for the first time last year and really liked it up there. This year we’re PE so have booked the upper deck both ways. I can see how it would have been much more spacious with just PE up there but I thought for an economy seat it was fine.

The economy seats are the same size/ pitch as downstairs, and as far as i recall the aisle is the same width, but obviously only the one of them.
Personally, i love the upper deck, and it will be a shame when they get rid of the 747. You usually get let off quickly, but not always, we have been held upstairs at least once in nearly 20 flights on the 747. I prefer the front extra leg room seats to the back row, No one to recline into you there and a good six foot of space to stretch your legs into. Only once on a flight to Vegas did we have people try to congregate in "my space", but the FA sorted that out for me. |
