thanks for all the replies its very reassuring to hear its pretty standard procedure and nothing to worry about.

I think it worried me a little more than I expected as she was so matter of fact reeling off the info and made a point of taking someone with me it was so different to my last experience.

I'm trying not to dwell on it but easier said than done - I think its the thought of the tests/exams

It’s never a great experience when your health is being questioned. Hopefully, your breast clinic is full of lovely staff and they look after you. Try to distract yourself thinking of things you can talk to the staff about while you’re getting things done (I don’t know why but this always works for me- maybe I’m crazy but we don’t question that).

The tests aren’t the nicest but, always better to have them and be safe ❤️ I will be thinking of you!

TBH DH could only go to some of mine with me so I ended up going solo about three times. It was disconcerting for me as I had to travel to another city and find my way to the hospital where my consultant was based and on one occasion the internet and signal on my phone wasn’t working so I had to just go on instinct. I made it there ok but I could have coped better with someone with me. My surgery was done at a hospital even further afield but the staff were brilliant. Can’t fault the team I had they were very reassuring and calm and kind to me explaining everything and talked me through my worries. Hopefully your dedicated team will be just as great if not outstanding and let them know if anything is making you anxious or unsettled then they can help you understand what’s happening.
