When you say you asked for a free upgrade how exactly did you broach this? I am generally not very comfortable at asking for free stuff but would love to do it!

A free upgrade depends on a lot of things like how long your staying , how busy etc

Last month at south point it was my birthday when we checked in , they gave us a free upgrade and waived the resort fees without asking , but we are regulars .

Planet Hollywood the other year I asked nicely if they had any strip view rooms and was told yes for a upgrade fee

I just said "are there any upgrades available" She started offering s fountains view with balcony for $50 a night so I said isn't there anything for free as that was our gambling money 🤣

We were fortunate as it's part of the VH offer if there's one available you get it. I'd also emailed in advance about celebrating birthdays. We got free chocolates in the room and a birthday card too 😀

I always ask since getting a partial Savannah at AKL. The worse that than can say is No so nothing lost.

I'll try again with the other pool pic - level 14 - it's taken over our balcony so not the best.

That’s good to know. It’s a joint 40th birthday celebration for us me and hubby so I might send them an email ahead!

We have just comeback yesterday and had a2 bed suite in the Cosmo.
We had a balcony over looking the fountains.
I can honestly say it’s the best hotel I have ever stayed in.
Had breakfast in eggslut it was wonderful, also tried the wicked spoon for dinner and got the bottomless wine and beer package. Excellent!
