Abseiling- anyone done it ?

Something I’ve always wanted to try - and saw a notice at work advertising a charity abseil to raise funds for the children’s hospital... never done anything like that in my life , but I’m intrigued... my worry is that I’m VERY unfit , and umm large (size 20) - will I make a fool of myself? will I look like the Walrus at SeaWorld
Be honest please

I found this link which you may find useful. They say no minimum or maximum weight limit but that you do need a certain degree of fitness

I loved both of mine. First over the side of a viaduct. The second 200foot from a crane into thin air!
