Extra cover / warranty for macbook
Hi all,
My DS is buying a macbook. He has worked and saved for it. I'm wondering the best way to get accident cover for it? If he goes with buying from apple, is apple care worth it. Compared to john lewis warranty costing £80? Thoughts? |

Always taken out apple care - current MacBook is coming on 8 years old and still works a treat. Having AppleCare means being able to take it into the store and have it fixed there (sometimes a couple of hours, sometimes a few days). Covers all accessories too. Had two or three chargers (£65ish each) through it so got my money back.
Does he need it right away? If he wants to wait until summer time he'll get a gift voucher/headphones etc included in the price - has happened previous times. Also check out UNIDays for a student discount. John Lewis Customer Service is great, I get all my appliances from them but when it comes to my apple products, I go to the store direct. Hope this is of some use. |
