I missed my FP window, what stupid planning errors have you made?

Regular visitor since 1992, DVC owner for 18 years with many trip under our belt.

DH and I each morning, wake up & excitedley share our daily countdown to our anniversary trip, yet it took us until we reached 57 days to realise that we should be booking Fps - what utter muppets!

Fortunately we somehow still managed to get all the headliners!

Any other seasoned travellers made any rookie errors?

Oh no! Did they let you in, as you can see them in your wallet?

That's horrendous! Could you just not use them or did you manage to get something sorted?

Well, this was the visit that we had to cut short after less than 24 hours as my mum was suddenly very ill (she subsequently died before we could get home, sadly). So we didn't realise the tickets were left at home until I was putting the passports back in the ticket drawer a few days later, and I saw the HHN tickets in there! I contacted Universal to explain why we hadn't used them but they wouldn't refund or exchange them, which is fair enough as that is part of their policy. Although I have to say that they were the only company that didn't refund us, everyone else did - Disney, (tickets and hotel), car hire agent, Manchester airport car parking, Virgin rebooked our flights at minimal cost, and Disney even refunded the non-refundable fireworks dessert party!

I'm so sorry!

That's really poor for Universal, their customer service, in my experience, is usually one of the best, I guess it's all down to who you get on the end of the phone though, and not a time in your life for fighting those kinds of battles!
