I think you will struggle to get one for under £400 especially with pool heating. If you take that out of the equation then yo should just be able to find something. Check out villas here on the dibb.

We were in a situation a couple of years ago when we found out 6 months before going that the villa we'd had booked for 2 years had been sold. We were on a fixed budget by then, so I went on to 360 villas (didn't know about the Dibb then!) and emailed everyone with a villa I liked and explained we were on a fixed budget and could afford to pay up to a certain sum. I was amazed by how many people came back to me with really reasonable rates. Even those who couldn't help we're really pleasant. I think if you're open and honest with people, it's worth a try. It was for July but we got a lovely villa for under £1000 for the fortnight and I know the villa we're staying in next year does show rates around £400 for some parts of the year, so I'd say you've got a chance.

Not sure you'll find a Dibb villa for that price but you could still ask the question, you never know. Gazillions on the internet if you could spend some time searching. You could try inputting number of bedrooms, pool etc and any locations you like, this should narrow it down a lot to villas that you could give serious consideration to. As you have some flexibility in your dates this might also go in your favour.

I can't see it being a problem; spend some time searching and contacting owners and you should find something you like.

If you take pool heat out of the budget then you have a better chance on getting a villa for the £400 mark, but you will need to increase your budget if you want pool heat even though it's off peak. Remember though that 1st Jan is still classed as peak because it's New Years Day. Closer to the 6th and the rates will go off peak again
