How will the NBA affect Reservations?

Just read NBA may be coming to WDW at end of July for up to 4 Months.
Playing games at world wide of sports
All staying in WDW Hotels and Resorts.

How is this going to affect hotel and resort bookings, will any be closed to accommodate the NBA Teams?

I don’t think anyone knows yet. I believe they are using CSR. We are booked into CSR and had already decide to move to next year however this news would have had me straight on the phone to Disney for a resort move.

It’s confirmed they will be playing but no resorts have been officially announced yet.

Following,
We are booked with CSR in September and have heard this rumour. We are also waiting to hear what’s going on with the QSDP. Tbh with all the other perks removed and how restrictive visiting the parks are going to be it’s a fundamental change to the experience we have booked.
We have to pay the balance next week and just wish they would be upfront so we can cancel now and just wait for our deposit to be refunded rather than waiting for thousands to be returned. Upwelling aren’t looking for any future discounts - just a straight cancel and refund of deposit paid

CSR has been confirmed to house NBA, it's the dates that haven't. Its suspected 31/07-12/10

Ok so if they are the dates - will The NBA just have the Tower or all the other areas at CSR?
If they are taking over the whole resort the chances are that we will be moved- but have no idea if they either have the capacity at other moderate resorts to fit those who are still going or will they downgrade us to a value just to accommodate the booking and amend the cost ?

Am I crazy to believe the rumour that this might mean we get upgraded to a deluxe? It's the only sweetener convincing me not to just cancel due to all the restrictions, though as we're flying with Norwegian it's not looking good that we'll have a flight to get there.
