Don't believe any of these attractions will be operational for our trip in April. The fact remains that there will be less for us to see at Disney in April 2016 than what was available in April 2014 which is disapointing. In actual fact not a lot has changed in the Disney parks since our first visit in 2007. The point I was trying to make was that all the other parks in the same timeframe have added to their attractions. We will still enjoy it for what it is!

I'm disappointed, all mine were in awe when the saw it last year. I really hope it's replaced before we go but I doubt it. I'm not a huge fan of parades but the children enjoy them, even the big ones!

I was there for the last night, might have been the day before, just because we had to and had never seen it before.

After watching it, its very dated and retro. Whilst I can see people being nostalgic about it, I'm glad its gone. Time to move on and introduce something new.

I assume you mean April 2017 and not 2016?

If you have a look at the Theme Park Timeline, you'll see that Disney have added a lot of new things since April 2014.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Frozen Singalong, Star Wars Launch Bay & Fireworks & Stage show (etc), Baymax and Inside Out meet'n'greets, Soarin' Around the World, Frozen Ever After, Tree of Life Awakening, Disney Springs... to name a few.

(And, yes, they've also taken a few things away as well)

I've just Googled 'Paint the Night', and looking at those images, I'm really hoping it's moving to MK this year!

You arrived at WDW just after the completion of new Fantasyland (a little early for SDMT) so were pretty lucky on your last visit to arrive in between the bulk of construction. Since then, lots of new construction started but these things take a few years so you are arriving in between.

What can I say, you should have checked the dates and construction before you booked. Or maybe be thankful you can afford to go again, not everyone can.

I really missed the electric parade (for me Disney is about the parades and shows nowhere else does them quite like Disney) my DS and DH love thrill rides so Disney doesn't appeal to them anymore (although the Star Wars fireworks did get there attention) - managed to get them back this year only because we took our nieces but I think that's the last visit for us as a family.

Blimey, you're going back a bit - Tapestry of Nations ended around 15 years ago.

Since then Disney have added night time shows at AK (Tree of Life Awakening, and hopefully Rivers of Light), night time firework shows at HS (Frozen, Star Wars, etc), Wishes and Once Upon a Time at MK.

Yep first visited Disney California in 1980 and WDW in 1981!
I was hoping that Rivers of Light would be rolled out by my last trip in September 2016, but it wasn't to be.
Have seen all the other stuff you mentioned already. I'm not keen on fireworks so they don't do it for me as much as parades, and light shows.
Am off again in April this year but only spending a few days in Orlando and not doing the parks.
I prefer DCL now so am spending my time cruising.
When the new lands are open I will probably return as there will be fresh stuff for me to see. I do miss the old stuff though and was immensely sad when The Osbourne Lights ended. The Studios for me will never be the same again at Christmas.
