Alamo Dolphin

We are catching the Magical Express from the airport instead of collecting the hire car for the first time. We will be picking up the hire car on our first full day.

We will be renting a standard SUV but I'm not sure whether to collect it from the Car hire centre by Magic Kingdom or from the Dolphin.

I was thinking it maybe less hassle to just go straight from Hollywood Studios to the Dolphin by boat or bus to collect rather than arranging transportation to get to the car care centre by Magic Kingdom.

Also what car choices are there likely to be?

We always pick our hire car from the Disney Dolphin, it is so easy to get to, as opposed to waiting for them to pick you up.

Unlike the airport, you don't get to choose a car, its allocated to you when you go to the desk. They give you the paperwork and the keys and you head out to the front of the hotel and hand the car slip to the valet and they bring the car over for you. When you return the car you just leave it with the valet at the hotel entrance and they give you a receipt for it.

Thank you. I like the idea of just making our own way to the Dolphin by boat after we have been to HS for the morning. Just hope the standard of vehicle is OK.

We're renting a large SUV from Alamo in August and picking up at the Dolphin, for the first time, having spent our first night at the Beach Club. Quite honestly I'm not worried about the standard of the car as Alamo are usually pretty good and if it's not up to standard I'll wait for them to bring me another from the Car Care Centre! (or run me over there)

I have to say I have had 4 cars from them now and all of them were immaculate. I always book a Mid-Size SUV and twice they have given me a Standard SUV without even telling me or trying to get me to upgrade - never attempted to ask me to take any extras either.

In November the car I got was brand new, only had 8 miles on it and had that lovely new car smell, fantastic!
