Not at all, I'd happily spend a month there..
Memorial day is the end of the month and that will be busy.. Weekends are always more expensive but you can't really avoid at least one weekend if your there for a week. It will be busier in May because its the start of the pool party seasons, other things that bump up the price are UFC & Boxing matches but they are usually at weekends and I don't know how far in advance they are announced. You can usually tell if there's a event on as prices rocket. |

we would have found 7 days too much without a car to get out and visit other places like hoover dam etc , we had 3 days that was enough for us

Similar for us, we wouldn't be able to find enough of interest for more than about 3 days on the strip itself. Far more to Vegas than just the strip, so 7 days is easily fillable, but it would take in more than just the strip for us and therefore need a car.

We are there for memorial weekend. We have no choice really as our dates are not flexible and have to be there that weekend because of work commitments. We are spending the Friday night if that weekend at the Grand Canyon then back to Vegas for the Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We are staying for 4 nights in total but one night and then a further three. I don't think I would want to stay there any longer but we haven't been yet so all that could change, I can't see it but you never know!

We've stayed a week without a car and didn't want to leave. So much to do especially as its your first visit. There are buses than run up and down the strip which are cheap and frequent if you want to go further afield, shopping at outlets or freemont st. Taxis are cheap and uber is very common too,so it's easy to get around although you will do ALOT of walking. On our first visit we booked an organised excursion to Hoover dam, canyon etc and they pick up and drop off at hotel. You don't NEED a car at all in Vegas if you stay on strip or close to
