Each to their own but in 30 yrs of travelling to the US, last 6 to Orlando the only time we went without a car was during a visit to NYC. I would be completely lost without my minivan but as I said each to their own.

Thanks everyone for your helpful replies! I think we probably will go for the car (I was already swaying that way anyway but now I'm convinced!) it seems quite cheap for the car hire too, although I know it will cost us more with parking etc xx

That's the right decision IMO, we have had a car on all our trips, wouldn't have it any other way,

In the overall cost of honeymoon, the few quid on parking adds up but it is not a make or break cost - really think the car will allow you get full advantage of your time and also cut down on taxi fares when you want to move quickly from one place to another
