cyclops Beach - which one is best for day trip?

Hi folks
Just wondering what beach you all reckon is best for a day trip? We went to Clearwater the last time and was wondering about Daytona this time?
What is everyone's thoughts on best beaches within driving distance of Orlando.
Thanks

The nearest beach is probably Cocoa on the east coast, I think it takes just over an hour to get there. Daytona is a bit further north and takes maybe one hour 20 mins or so.

If you think you'd prefer the Gulf Coast for the calmer sea, Clearwater is probably the nearest, I think that takes about 1.5 hours, maybe slightly longer.

Our favourite is the Sarasota area, it's a bit further away at about 2 hours but there are some fantastic beaches - Anna Maria Island, Lido Beach, Siesta Key to name but a few.

We love the Florida coastline, both the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts, and always have a few days at the coast while over there.
