We take a trip once a year down to the keys to just get away from Orlando
Stay out side of Key West , kick back and enjoy
A daytime drive is better to see everything
lots of places to stop and visit from Key largo to Key West

Stop at the welcome center and get a map, it is very helpful

We had a wonderful couple of nights in Key Largo, went snorkelling at the coral reef and had a day in Key West. The most amazing drive.

We are staying in Marathon, so will definately do the turtle hospital. Would love to see the sunset at key west too. To break the journey up to Orlando we are going to stay the night in Fort Lauderdale, never been there either so looking forward to see a bit more of Florida other than just the theme parks.
