Grand Canyon south or west rim?

DH and I had two nights at Kachina Lodge at the South Rim in September as part of our 25th Wedding Anniversary road trip. I booked us a canyon view room on the day it became available to book. We got to see two sunsets and one sunrise and spent an entire day walking along the rim trail to Hermit's Rest. I can honestly say, of all the places we have ever visited, we have the most enduring memories of our time in the Grand Canyon National Park. It was a totally amazing experience.

if it's the first time you've been you'll love the west rim, I went to the Skywalk in October and absolutely loved it, the views were breathtaking and the journey there isn't as long

Done both, I remember being a bit disappointed in the west rim, and my wife wasn't impressed at all. Last year we self drove to the south rim from Las Vegas, absolutely spectacular. My wife was stunned into silence. Which was nice...
