How many days for universal Hollywood?

Planning ahead for next Easter. How many days do you think? we normally would do 3/4 in Orlando. Is US in Hollywood as big? Will it be busy at Easter? Thanks.

Nowhere near as big.

You can get around the key rides in a day if you want to. If you have younger kids and want to do all of that area as well and don't want to be rushing you may want 2 days, but no more than that

I would go with a day at Easter. Get the tickets off their website and it gives you the hour earlier entry to do the Harry Potter rides before the queues build. You then head down to the Back Lot Tour to get that done before the park gets busy.

Great tips thanks! Think we'll go for just a full day as we only plan 3 nights in Hollywood & we want a day at Santa Monica too. Would 3 nights be enough to do all the sights too?

I would be enough, we were there for parking opening and left at 4pm having done everything inc Harry Potter .

Yes 3 nights would be enough to do all the main sights . We had a full day a few years go and did the science Center and space shuttle , Hollywood Blvd, Sunset,Melrose ave, rodeo drive , Wilshire ,Beverly Hills etc

3 days will be enough to do the basic tourist sites if you do 1 day at Universal.

I would try to do the Warner Bros Studio Tour as well as that is very good and you get to see far more than the Universal Back Lot tour.

Personally we could fill a week and more in the area as there is so much more to do if you look under the covers.

Definitely doable in a day. We've been twice, both times got there for opening, done everything Inc tram tour, had break for lunch in citywalk then went back in and done everything again (some rides 3 or 4 times) tram tour a second time (worth doing as you sometimes see different things as different times of day) and done waterworld show. Still left before closing

You should get everything done in one day. Tip - do the backstage tour first thing. It gets crazily busy as the day wears on. Leave Forbidden Journey at Hogsmeade until late afternoon when crowds tend to die down.

You are better off doing Harry potter's main ride first thin in the hour before main admission if you buy the ticket online.

You can buy them from where you like I got mine direct online and will again this year.

However we didn't do the tour first or last.

We did the Simpsons ride, then had a quick look at Harry Potter which wasn't then open, Did the Backlot tour which had no queues (obviously depends on the time of year) and then went back to Harry Potter which by then was open.

Longest queue we had all day was 15 mins for the Potter roller coaster.
