Stuck in the Tower of Terror

Haha - probably no help, but last time we were in Magic Kingdom (2011) there was a baby alligator swimming in the lake just outside the Country Bears Jamboree - people were throwing popcorn for it to eat! Got caught and moved pretty quickly though

We've seen some before in the little ponds/lakes when travelling on Disney property... we stayed at ASM once and quite a large gator was removed from the water by the side of the drive to the AS resorts.
My hubby went on a golfing holiday to Orlando several years ago and quite a few golf courses have "resident" gators... he saw a couple sunbathing. Needless to say they didn't try to retrieve any lost balls that went in the water ! |

Here you go as the poster above has said Golf Courses are a great place to spot Alligators.
Ally as we have named him has now been on the Weather Channel & the Discovery Channel. He may now be in another wild life programme this summer. Enjoy. Edited at 07:14 AM. |

when we stayed at the best western lake side in kissimmee in 07 my son and I bought a small fishing rod from walmart and fished the lake next to the motel, when I was fishing my son Michael (A9) kept poking me in the side and i kept ignoring him... he started to poke harder so i turned to see what he wanted and there walking up the bank was a 7ft gattor ! ... that saw an end of our fishing

We stayed in a villa that had a lake behind it and my hubbie tried a spot of fishing. He caught a small catfish and a 4 foot alligator followed it out of the water! End of fishing! Saw the alligator daily though

You'll be able to see them at lake Dixie, at lake Louisa state park.
We bought a fishing rod and hired a canoe back in January. Had a lovely relaxing day catching some fish and spending time on the lake. Gators came out late in the afternoon. Made a change from all the theme parks. They have BBQ griddles you can use too. You'll find lake Louisa state park about five or six miles up Hwy 27 towards Clermont from the 192 junction. Bears, turtles, cats, snakes and other wild life are known to frequent the area too. Might have put you off now but it is worth a visit.

Blue Springs boat trip. It's a 2 hour ride upand down the St Johns River. You'll see 'Gators and many other animals and birds. It was $21 last time we did it.
