Virgin Alamo Car hire + Collecting Sat Nav

So we have car hire booked with Alamo through Virgin Holidays, platinum insurance package plus Sat-Nav.
I've done save time & online check in & now have an agreement which advises me to go straight to the garage.

My question is where do I collect the Sat-Nav?

I've spoke to Virgin about it & they advise me on my way out, when I show my agreement, driving license & credit card at the booth. The booth attendant will give me the Sat-nav. They didn't sound completely convincing when they explained this to me though.

So have any Dibbers been through this & collected a Sat-Nav from the booth on the way out?

we've done this the last two times. the first time we got the satnav at the exit booth just by showing paperwork but last year, we actually got given it at the Alamo desk as we were completing paperwork/credit card details, prior to walking over and collecting the car x
