My kids were just looking at the rides the other day on you tube, we will be going August next year, so as its closing i think i will just pay the little extra and get the 3 park tickets for universal so at least they can have a morning there.

Its a water park with water slides and is very good if that's what you want. You can't compare it to TL or BB which are theme parks with water slides.
It always seemed to be frequented mainly by locals, unlike the Disney water parks which was frequented by tourists.

It was the first water park we went to in 1997...we were staying in a hotel not far behind...it conjures up lovely memories of our first ever time in Florida.

Not been in a while, but I will miss the view across the lake on a night, seeing it lit up in the foreground and fun spot in the background, had many a pleasant evening sat on a balcany with that as a view, very tranquile.

Just hope they are not going to make it waste land, too much around that area was unused (sizzlers, still an empty shell after how long?), but as someone said with Universal opening so close its days were probably numbered anyway, wonder if they will get the i-trolly to drop off there like seaworld/aquatica?

I won't miss it. The few times we have been it was absolutely rammed and you had to queue for ages to get on anything. The slides all seemed a bit dirty and worn out too.

Every time we have driven past it, it still appears to be as crazy busy as the times we were there. I know the other water parks get quite busy, but I've never quite felt like a sardine as I have at Wet & Wild. I guess that shows that it remains quite popular, but it's my least favourite water park.

It will be gone by the time we go back then! Never visited, it just never had kerb appeal. Hopefully the new water park will be more appealing. Wonder what will fill the space?

One of the few real attractions on iDrive which for people staying here has real 'kerb appeal.'
