Sorry for change of user name Judy. I was using DH dibb account as my computer was broken. Back with mine now
Will gladly do a report. No problem at all. Only thing will be if we don't have a wall view I won't be able to tell you how dark it is, and apparently they are furnished differently as well. So we could get an ok one and you an even better or the other way around. Anyway we go Friday so will tell you what I think of the one we have. I love the location and for the price with no resort fee for a 2 bed condo we are happy. Coffee sounds good but will try my best not to have the donuts Edited at 05:30 AM. |

They are furnished different because about 70 units are owned by private owners and the rest by the Jockey Club . Some of those 70 are lived in full time by the owners but most get rented out back to the jockey club or privately , hence some are much nicer than others .
When we looked to stayed there we looked on VRBO as it's cheaper than booking direct usually , some units were really nicely decorated but others were like something from the 1970s. I would assume though the 250 ish units the Jockey Club actually own there will all look the same. |

Yes I understand you can only report about the view you get from your room, fingers crossed for you it's a good one
I've got my head round it a bit more now, and think if we get a wall outside well it's not the end of the world. We can go to the Bamboo pool for a good view. I'm quite exited at the location, which is the most important thing

I checked Airbnb but couldn't find a suitable one, only one with extra beds in the living area space! Ok for a big group of people who wants to save money.
Granted the kitchens look a bit 70's but we won't spend much time in there I don't find decor in the US particularly tasteful, with dark wood and those crazy headache inducing carpets

Location is more important for me too. We have rented from a guy on AirBnB. Checked him out and he is a well know realtor in Vegas. Just him and his wife run the business. He owns I think its 3 condo at JC. Spoken on phone and hes answered my emails and he seems ok. Checked with JC and they have my booking.
As long as its clean, I am happy with whatever. If I was paying Venetian prices would be disappointed with a brick wall, but for what we are paying will be happy. Think if as you say you accept that you may get dark room you should be ok, if not would still look at the Mirage. I like the idea of the kitchen and sitting room as well. |

Mirage every time better staff, better resort more real feeling.
I hate the Venitian it's the only hotel that I have stayed at* that I would not stay at again, Thursday to Saturday it attracts groups of idiots from LA who all think t,hat they are extras from the Hills. *we once had a manor room booked at circus circus but when we got to the room we decided we could not stay there so I don't count this as we did nit actually stay there. Love Excalibur and Luxor though |

Just love the Jockey Club. Have no complaints at all. I know you got my PM Judy. Will just add its not all glass and chrome a little dated, but we love it. Can not really compare to Venetian or Mirage as like neither. A small quiet hotel much more intimate and friendly. Two minutes and you are in Cosmo casino... probably quicker than if you were staying in a room in the Cosmo itself. Really impressed. If you are wanting a big hotel with hustle and bustle its not for you.

Thanks I'm really happy with my choice now 😀 The reviews are so good, I'm not bothered if it's not ultra swish and modern. Our two adult sons have a separate one bedroom condo, and it'll be great we can all get around easily without it being much of a walk to the strip.
