Getting the best out of the World Showcase?

Probably going to be controversial and I'm whispering this I don't really like the World Showcase. But DW loves it. We've neglected it on our last visits, so much to my annoyance we have a full day scheduled here in may keeping a separate day for Futureworld. We are having a late breakfast at Akershus at 10am ready for the 11am opening. We have a break planned at Beaches and Cream around 3.30pm. We may head back to the resort for a break as well before returning for Illuminations in the evening.

Looking for any tips, where to go, what to see, hidden gems and character spots. Many thanks

If it helps, I've never been that keen either!

* We really enjoyed the new Frozen ride in Norway. Great use of a fast pass.
* Character spots are scattered around and visible. Found the wait times much shorter.
* Check out Agent P and the different missions.
* Kidcot Funspots. Our youngest enjoyed making Duffy/Disney puppets/colouring in and CM's were there to talk about each country.
* We went to Biergarten as part of the Candlelight Processional Package, but if we hadn't, we would have possibly spent time sampling some of the snacks from around the world.
* Enjoyed the evenings, watching the different bands play and soaking up the atmosphere.

Hope this helps a little. Enjoy Beaches and Cream!

its the flower and garden festival while you are there and there are special snacks available in world showcase. I found a menu of this years snacks and they looked great. We are going to spend an afternoon eating and drinking around the world while the kids do the kidcot stops. Should be entertaining for both kids and adults

Have a really good explore of the pavilions. The Morocco one is absolutely stunning and for a moment you can actually believe you're there. They sent their own craftsmen to build and decorate the pavilion and there is so much to it beyond the facade.

Wander right into each 'country' - lots of hidden gems to see.
See the films in Canada, China, France.
Do a chocolate around the world hunt.
Get a FP for Frozen.
Do the 3 Amigos ride in Mexico.
Do a Wine Walk - 2 small glasses in each of France, Germany and Italy (buy the ticket at any of these 3 countries wine shop).
Talk to the CMs.
Watch live music / a show if theres one on at the theatre in America.
Get a fresh hot brioche ice cream sandwich in France,
See the American Adventure.
Catch the live entertainment in most countries.
If you have kids, go to the Kidstop in each country and let them do the crafts with the CM.
We love WS.

If you don't mind me asking, what is it about it that you don't like? Is it something specific, or does the entire premise just not appeal?

In all honesty I just get more excited by the things in all the other parks. There isn't anything there that I think wow I need to do that, but DW loves it so I'd like to get the best of it and be converted.
